vmware vcenter 6.5 appliance with seperate SSO server

I have a new vcenter 6.5 appliance with a separate SSO server. I cannot get opmanager to connect and see any of the vm's with the data-center.

i have tried a domain user with full privileges, i have tried the administrator@local.local account... I've tried everything i can think of.

Please advise.
