Verify Login

i am trying to forward logs from a Windows 2003 server with all the latest patches.  I have set the server to forward the logs (with datagram syslog agent),  but in trying to setup the eventlog analyzer I am having issues.  I add the host and try to verify the login for the windows server.  I type in the correct username and password and click verify login.  I then get another window open that just has the headings [Host Name,Login Status Message, Error Code].  I never get a anything in there.  If I type the correct password or the wrong one it get the same thing. Its all blank with a "close" button.  As a result I am not getting the logs from my windows server. Please help.  Thanks
