Upgrade Free Netflow version 7 to 8.5 - best practice

Hi,
how can i simply upgrade my free edition of netflow analyzer 7 to 8.5? Is there a best practice or only download the latest edition and install on the same server like the old netflow analyzer? Are there any cool new features in version 8.5?
