Unable to seach assets

Hi I am using SD ver 8.1.0 Build 8110.

Recently I am unable to search assets by bar code, Asset tag, product name, or even serial numbers.
I search from the search pane one left hand side.

I can search request by request ID and the rest of the system seems fine

Can anyone help me trouble shoot
