Unable to execute script

I am having problems with executing stored scripts.
I have created a script for adding username a device
the script is a s follows :

conf t
username XYZ privilege 3 password BLAHBLAH
end

This script generates a rather unusual output when executed.I have attached the report of the output.
I have even tried other scripts but they produce the same output.
