We're excited to announce the release of SharePoint Manager Plus' latest build 4600. The new build supports the following:
New features
High Availability: Designate one or more secondary servers as standby nodes to maintain availability during unscheduled downtime.
The following new management actions have been added:
Check In Documents: Select checked-out documents and perform a bulk check-in.
Clear Version History: Free up site storage by deleting older versions of files in sites, document libraries, or folders.
Edit Document Metadata: Update the metadata of files in document libraries or lists.
Versioning Settings: Update the versioning settings for SharePoint lists to manage versions, set version limits, and control who can view drafts.
Break or Restore Inheritance - Granular: Break or restore inheritance for sites, document libraries, lists, folders, or files. The separate Restore Inheritance for Sites task has been removed.
The following new reports have been added for both SharePoint Server and SharePoint Online:
Inactive Files: Lists all files in a site that have not been modified for the specified number of days
Orphaned Users: Identifies users associated with SharePoint sites but removed from Active Directory (AD)
The following new reports have been added for SharePoint Online:
List Versioning Details: Lists the versioning settings of document libraries and lists
Items Shared with External Users: Lists the items shared with external users and identifies who has access to them
Storage by Version Age: Shows the site storage occupied by file versions older than the last N days
Storage by Version Count: Shows the site storage occupied by file versions older than the last N versions
Site Trends Overview: Shows the current site usage, allocated storage, file count, and last activity date
Site Trends History: Lists day-by-day historical site collections usage changes
Site Storage Growth Trends: Lists the storage growth and growth rate for site collections over a selected period
Daily Storage Trends: Lists day-over-day storage and file count trends across the tenant
Monthly Storage Trends: Lists month-over-month storage and file count trends across the tenant
Enhancements
C-Store (columnar databases) is now supported for Audit reports in environments with large audit data volumes.
AD-group-based delegation is now supported.
Sharing and Access Overview: The External and Sharing Access report has been renamed Sharing and Access Overview. It now categorizes users based on how they gained access: a direct assignment, organization link, or anonymous link.
Item wise Sharing Access: The report now displays the link access level.
Anonymously Shared Items: A new Shared To column has been added to the report.
The user and group selection pop-up in the Management module has been improved.
You can now schedule the Check Permissions task to generate permission reports at regular intervals.
You can now subscribe through an in-product form to receive email alerts about important security updates.
The All List Items report now displays three new columns: the version count, cumulative size of older versions, and total size of all versions.
Report synchronization performance for the Lists and List Items categories has been improved.
CSV import support for setting default column metadata in Copy Site Contents has been added.
The XLS export option has been replaced with XLSX to support the modern Excel file format.
A user-specific storage unit preference (Auto, GB, MB, or KB) in the Personalize Settings has been added.
The bundled PostgreSQL database has been upgraded to version 17.10.
Apache Tomcat has been upgraded to version 9.0.118.
The Java Runtime Environment has been upgraded to version 11.0.30.
Issues fixed
SPMP-1623: The Site Statistics report displayed invalid storage sizes.
SPMP-1626: Usernames containing the domain name could not be entered in the Network Map Drive.
SPMP-1391: Numeric fields were sorted incorrectly in List and List Items reports.
SPMP-1625: Certain SharePoint group users could not be selected in the Copy or Move Permissions task due to their email address format.
SPMP-1689: Group members were not fetched correctly during report syncs when a large number of groups was involved, causing the syncs to fail.
SPMP-1674: Modifying an advanced filter in a report did not clear the previously applied filter, resulting in an error.
SPMP-1638: SharePoint site URLs containing supported special characters were not handled correctly during on-demand report generation.
SPMP-1659: Newly added columns were missing from the Add/Remove Columns drop-down for users with a customized report layout.
SPMP-1657: The Duo JAR version was upgraded from 1.1.3 to 1.3.1.
SPMP-1637: Permissions could not be removed using the Remove Permissions management task for users whose names or email addresses contained special characters.
SPMP-1595: Duplicate alerts and notification emails were triggered for threshold-based monitoring alert profiles, where alerts from the previous event were triggered again along with new alerts.
SPMP-1673: Report syncs failed for large site collections when the change token length exceeded the allowed limit.
SPMP-1717: Technicians with long Microsoft 365 login names could not be added.
