Release Environment Management

Hi guys - I'm wondering if anyone has used ServiceDesk Plus or any other tools for managing test environments during a software implementation project involving several iterations of development? I have 15+ environments with various applications and integration components that need to be tracked by version, configuration, usage, etc.
Can I use Asset management features and have them grouped or bundled into 'environments'?
Or are there any other solutions out there that others can recommend?
