Question about snmp v2c and security

Hi, I've been testing DExpert 5.1 running in Linux and it's really a wonderfull tool.. but I've two questions:

1. Why don't you use SNMP v3 instead v2c?
2. Do you see some possibles security problems using SNMP v2c to query the devices?
