Problem in Scan systems

From last few days whenever I try to scan a system the screen is stuck on

Updating vulnerable database. It may take some time please wait!!

Scan system/ Scan all is greyed out .
Have tried stopping desktop central and restart nogo.
There is also no option to stop scan.
