Netflow Version 9

I beleive that Netflow V9's advantage are templates and how they can reduce the size of the exported data and thereby the netflow traffic.
what i am not sure is how to configure my router to specify what fields i want to include in my template so that only those can be exported to the analyser.
could someone please help me with the commands.
