I would like to know why NetFlow Analyzer cannot support ALL the extended metrics the nProbe can offer like DPI and response time.

Benefit from nProbe:

- not all the customers have access to the routers so they cannot export NetFlow from them

- enabling NetFlow/sFlow/JFlow ... on a router or switch can overload the CPU

- not all the network equipment support NetFlow

- nProbe are cost effective and can be deployed widely in the network

- can decode SSL traffic

- DPI analysis: Facebook, not HTTP. Skype not port 80.

- response time monitoring

NetFlow Analyzer + nProbe can be a good package but only if NA can support those extra metrics.

Other vendors support those extra metrics:

- Plixer

- Boundary

- AppNeta

- redBorder
