How is data gathered?

Hello there,

I am currently using Application Manager 6 and have the following question about the Tomcat responce time - are the values shown by the Application Manager based on a request initiated from the Application Manager to the Tomcat server or is it based on data that Tomcat itself provides regarding all requests that it receives?
