Event Log monitoring

Hi Guys

I am setting up even log monitoring on some of our servers. I see that on the email actions that are sent out do not contain the information from the event that triggered the alert. Is there anyway that i can get this done as i need Applications manager to log a call to our Helpdesk software and it needs to contain the event information.
