auto-redirect from http (80) to https (443)

Hi there,

Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard
ServiceDesk-Plus 8.1.0 Build 8114

I found a post that have the instructions to redirect SDP from HTTP (80) to HTTPS (443) automatically here:

So what I did is:
  1. run changeWebServerPort.bat 443 https

  2. modify the server.xml and web.xml as instructed on the link at the beginning of this post
But having issues where I still need to manually type in https:// at the beginning of the address.
Without it, it just the usual Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage .

If I run the changeWebServerPort.bat 80 http command, nothing works at all.

Please help!
