Install a new OpManager using MySQL instead of native PostgreSQL
Hi. Can we use MySQL as a DB for a new installation of OpManager enterprise instead of PostreSQL? Why was there a move from MySQL to PostgreSQL?
Database config for HA setup of OpManager
Hello, I've read at manual guide, if we need to setup HA configuration the Database should be MS-SQL. The question is the database should be setup in clustering mode? or we can ignore clustering for DB. Please kindly advice according to this, very appreciate. Regards, Imran Fadhilah
Only one alert when error detected
Hi, i have some things to ask. I remember from our webinar about Opmanager your specialist tell us that we can setup to alarms notification only one time. I mean if see more that one errors in event logs on Windows server that i have the same count of notification about this problem but i want to receive only one alarm. Can this done in Opmanager?
Disk utilization - wrong value after resized disk space
Hello, OpManager keeps sending alerts for disk utilization after we added more space to the affected partition. I tried "Update Status", "Rediscover" but it didn't help to refresh the new value. The only thing it helped was to delete and re-add the server to OpManager. Is this a kind of known issue or is there a quick way to refresh the new disk size? Thanks,

OPManager and VMs
After adding in our Hyper-V Hosts, it is not detecting the VM clients on the host. It detects some of them (i.e 3 out of 9) but not all of them. Am I missing something that needs to be set up for the discovery? Thanks in advance!

What is the best database type to have for opmanager? We are currently running PostgreSQL and it runs sluggish at times but ultimately I want it to load faster. The aim of this work is to describe methods of discovering devices on the local network and then create a map of computer network. CentOS Server - No Interface Data
I am monitoring a CentOS 6 server which responds fine to SNMP requests for CPU Memory and also detects the Interfaces OK. The problem is that I'm getting no bandwidth data back from it and the graphs are showing 'No Data Available' would anyone know why this would be? My OpManager is on Ubuntu 14.04 and is build 11500

Reporting Availability
I currently have a set of servers reporting the availability for the period "Last Month" during a time window "7:00 AM - 6:00 PM" My question is there a way to have it set to report only from 7am-6pm Monday-Saturday. I know there is a downtime scheduler I could set for Sunday, even though I dont want the availability report for that day I still want to know if an alarm goes off. We are using Opmanager to monitor some servers in a remote location over a VPN tunnel. This tunnel sometimes drops a couple of seconds which results in these servers getting a warning event 'One Poll Missed' and are being placed inactive for 5 minutes (until the next poll). getting actual snmp data from counter32

Domain Controller ID Lock Issue
Hi, I am new here and is my first post regarding one issue that i am facing last couple of times on OPManager Product. In OPManager 9.x - Someone accidentally put our domain controller "Administrator" ID and i have searched around the whole product but couldn't get the information from the GUI. The problem is, on our domain controller they are getting alerts on the server to "lock down" the main ID (Event ID: 4740) hitting alerts by our OPmanager machine. OpManager Build 11500 SNMP (and some WMI) based monitoring is unaccurate to say the least.
I installed that version as brand new installation few weeks ago, and added few systems just to see if I can recommend this app to my bosses. We added about 12 different servers and so far we see the following problems. SNMP Example 1: Disk Utilization above 100% (180-220) while WMI shows correct value of 37% Example2: 1GB Interface is detected as 100MB interface WMI Threshold of "Number of connections to Exchange server" is under 200, which is way to low. VCenter rediscovery
Hi all I'm wondering if there is a process or set of standard SQL scripts available that can essentially reset/remove all the VM metrics from Opmanager so that a VCenter rediscovery can occur. For instance, on a number of occasions a lot of our VM's have lost their metrics or turned orphan, same thing with the ESX hosts. Rediscovery of the VC seems to always fail with a "contact support". Unable to customize notification profile per device
I have always been able to change the notification profile settings from a device page. For example, when viewing a device, I click on Notifications, then click the edit button, and I can modify it and it saves for that device. However, now it takes me to the global profile settings. After I select the criteria, it takes me to "Select Devices" and lists all my devices. It should just modify the profile for that one device, rather than redirect to the global profile

IPAM mac-ip combination detected
Hi, i have actived "A Change in MAC-IP combination is detected" alert, and i received a very large amount of mac-ip combination detected, every 4 hour the system send me always the same mails. I think the ipam addi take the data from AD server and reverse all the data every time. I have found very old time ip-mac combination... is possible fix this issue? tanks! fulvio

I've just installed OpManager successfully on Ubuntu. I started it by SSHing into my server and executing ./StartOpmanagerServer.sh, however when I exit out of my SSH session OpManager stops. Is there a way around this?

Opmanager VMWare OVA install. No webpage?
Hi, Very new to this product, but was looking to eval for a few customers. I have downloaded the free ova tool of Opmanager, watched the install which went fine. Logged into the Suse desktop, which also seems ok. However when I try an connect to the ip of the server on port http://10.0.0.47:8060/ I get nothing? IP without a port give me access denied, so it seem the webserver is running? Have I missed something? as I found the instructions very hard to find for this OVA Regards Paul.

NetApp not showing disk info
Hi there, we are trying to monitor a few NetApp Devices in our company.. unfortunately we can't see any disk or LUN info after adding the devices. Trigger action on number of processes alarm
You can trigger set actions on service monitor, but not seeing them on process monitors. Is there a way to trigger an action (cmd) based on the number of processes? We are fighting an issue with php-cgi.exe on our IIS box. We are trying to narrow down the faulty code or other issues, but it spawns only about once per day and we have yet to isolate.
