P to V conversion
We're performing a P to V to add guests to our VMWare infr and we're noticing the devices are not being showing up under the Virtual Device category after the process is complete. We've tried to update status, rediscover, remove and discover again and they still show as non-virtual devices. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
QNAP Devices.
Hi there, got a few QNAP devices (www.QNAP.com) to monitor and though the test service monitor gives a response and a value, the CPU and Memory graphs do not show up: I have added a custom template, added the QNAP MIB (Please see attached file), no joy. Also, you do not have the Vendor/Type of QNAP (NAS) by default? Any ideas? Thanks! Adrian.
Updating Clients IP Addresses
Hi everyone, We are running Opmanager build no 8812. I noticed the Desktops clients that are being monitored do not get their IP Address updated when that changes. We have a DHCP running in our network( other than the server running OpManager) Server running OpManager solves corectlly the names and nslookup looks correct and accurate, but OpManager does not get updated. Hi Don't suppose you have the MIB for HP StorageWorks P4300 SAN do you? I'm trying to monitor it, yet OpManager doesn't recognise it as a peice of hardware. Issue Using Perl for Windows and Custom Script Templates
I have an issue where I have OpManager installed on a Windows 2003 server and am trying to use Perl to write a custom script template. The issue I have is that whenever I try to use a "foreach" loop, the script just hangs and eventually times out. The script runs fine when ran manually. It only fails when ran through OpManager. Has anyone else seen this issue? If so, did you get it resolved? Thanks!

Help: OpManager mail reports in an hour later
Alarms are reported to the server when the event happens, but the detail shows one hour later. example: Event occurs at 15:00, are displayed on the monitor without problems, but in the mail shows that the incident happened at 14:00. Custom Perl script to monitor multiple server's CPU's in a single graph
Hi all. Attached is a simple Perl script I put together to track total CPU usage across multiple different servers and show these values in a single graph. The servers in question are added in the array "@servers", and each of these values is then passed to the function "getSnmpValues", which returns the average total CPU usage across all server cores. I can see my VMWare ESXi 5 hosts in good detail, but if I want to add a monitor under inventory details (ie - I/O usage, etc.) I cannot as I am not given the option to do that...is this by design? Bug? Thanks in advance!

Failed to add a performance monitor for Linux servers
Hello, we use opmanager 9 (build 9100). If I want to add a new Performance Monitor for Linux server I receive the message "Error!". When I add a URL Monitor or a Process Monitor etc. I habe no problems. I can add a Performance Monitor for Windows server. Do you have any idea where the issue with the Linux server could come from? In our Citrix farm we often get CPU spikes. I have configured the thresholds so that if CPU is above 95% for 3 checks (15 minutes intervals) then an alert is sent. WMI Issue with Exchange 2010 Servers
Hello, I'm having a problem with WMI it seems on the Exchange 2010 servers within my domain. I have many file severs set up with WMI monitoring for CPU, disk partitions etc - all working fine. These use a global 'wmiadmin' account which is part of domain admins, & server operators in AD. The credentials test passes (via the passwords part of the servers page in OPMan) yet on the Exchange boxes if I test the WMI say for CPU monitor it fails - The Monitor did not respond to the test request.
CPU Alarms and Multi-CPU Servers
With multi-CPU servers, if CPU utilization goes above our set threshold, we get multiple alarms - one per CPU/core (using the WMI CPU monitor). Is it possible to configure the CPU threshold or alerts to use the total CPU utilization on the server, not one per CPU or core? Thanks, Dan

Disk Utilization - Windows 2008
Hi. When OpManager raice an alarm for a Virtual Windows 2008 server I often increase the disk size for the server. But OpManager does not see that the disk has been increased. Even if I rediscover the server, remove the disk utilization monitor and add it again, it still have an alarm on the utilization. Only removing the server in OpManager and add it again helps. Running both SNMP and WMI. Any other solution to that? Thanks Torsten

Hello, I want to monitor a Eaton ups (Evolution S 3000) on OPManager but I receive an error: When I try to run a test from a performance monitor, I receive a popup with a error message (The Monitor did not respond to the test request). I get "Cannot add device. This free edition of OpManager does not support adding more than 10 devices". I have only 7 devices in my list... I have deleted a device too, because there is a device I want too try out, but I still get the same error-code. Are there still deleted devices in some kind of config-file so the program think it is 10? I would need some help here, please .....
