SNMP and WMI
My environment machines have mixed this with WMI and SNMP. I am wanting to use the DeviceTemplate and standardize the monitors. I want to know if I put in DeviceTemplate both types of monitors SNMP and WMI, I want if I put these two monitors I'll have some kind of problem? Conflict for example.
SQL 2005 monitors not working after SP4
Hello, we have two servers with Microsoft SQL server 2005 STD, we had configured a few SQL monitors and was working propertly, but after aplying SP4 to SQL, the SQL monitors stop responding and the data for this monitors are N/A. I have already try the following: - To rediscover server - Delete server and add again (the new server is not automaticaly detected as SQL and therefore doesnt add automaticaly the SQL monitors), add manualy the SQL monitors - WMI credentials are tested, Monitors-->Performance
Include automation workflow results into email notifications
I'd like to see the results of a triggered workflow to be added to emails sent from the notification profile. This way I can immediately see the additional info in the first notification email, which could help with false alarms.
Merge Device Monitors
Im trying to figure out if there is a way to merge devices, or at least an easy way to copy the monitors from one device to another. Currently we have a lot of our servers added manually. I am now going through and adding the ESX Hosts so that all the VM's come over automatically. The problem is the servers have all the notifications tied to them and i want to move these monitors to the virtual device instance. Region based dynamic mapping
Hello Folks i wonder can anyone fully utilizing this feature in opmanager ? After discovering devices in opmanager we want to bring devices (servers , switches , APs) on the subnet based maps. Currently opmanager has only layer 2 mapping but some problems . also dont brings the servers , aps , terminals. i attached the whats up screenshot of layer 2 mapping . download opmanager.truststore IE
I use OpManager Enterprise 9410. I just realized, that the download og the truststore file unter Admin - Probes is not possible in IE. It works with Firefox. Does anybody have a solution for that? How can I download the truststore file in Internet Explorer? Thanks jobu74
rename probe / Reregister probe
I would like to rename a opmanager probe. Is there a way to do this whitout reinstalling the probe? Is there also a way to rregister a probe, if it was deleted on the central Server without reinstalling the probe? best regards jobu74

Problem OPmanger Authentication
Dears I have a problem in OPmanger that i can't login through webpage anymore it prompt the username and password page , when i tries to login it just hang , plus i got no report through mail since the problem which mean the services is not running any more, i restarted the server many times and the problem still exist.
Interfaces on maps

Hyper V Host detect as server category
Hi, I manually add my Hyper V Host by using IP address into Opmanage but it category it as server. How can i change this? i try remove/delete from Server Category but still back to server category when add in Add HyperV Host.

SSL integration between OpManager products is weak. When will you be rolling out a means by which we can merely apply our existing certifications to the products without having to download third-party apps to do so?
Copy 'admin' User Environment/Profile
I have configured the OpManager environment for the default local 'admin' user. This configuration includes the creation of a custom dashboard that I want to use as the default for the admin staff. I now want to 'copy' this environment/profile to Windows Domain administrators, but have not located a simple way of accomplishing this.

How do you determine the monitoring interval of a Hyper-V server?
There is no polling or monitoring interval settings like there is on a standard server. How do you see the interval and modify it if needed?
Can someone please explain to me why and when I would use an agent on server?
The only thing I can notice about its usefulness is when the server gets rebooted I get an immediate notification. Are there any other benefits to using the agent?
Windows Server 2012 Hyper V

The problem i facing is when i add in the Host A, it only capture 1 virtual and 1 replica virtual. While in Host B, it does not show any virtual machine. OpManager reopening closed SD+ tickets
Hi Why does OpManager reopen old and closed SD+ tickets when an alarm triggers a "Log at Ticket" notification profile? Example: A month ago a disk freespace alarm was triggered and a new ticket/request was generated in SD+. This issue was then resolved and the request was auto-closed. Then today the same treshold is broken and what happens. OpManager reopens the old request and changes (not appends) the original ticket description. This ticket then, as it's a month old goes directly into breach

Notification method other than Email or SMS
Hi, Email is not a preferred option for the delivery of notifications in my environment. I'd like to create an XML file instead for each notification raised. I'm guessing that the Alarm Notification could be a script of some sort. Has someone already come across a similar and what would be the best approach to take ?
No backup?
How is it that this product does not offer any back up solution other than the batch files included in the bin folder? How hard wold it be to take the code from service desk plus and make a real functioning backup job in the UI? come on guys... Unable to start OpUtils in Linux

CCTV View auto login after 9410 upgrade
Upgrade went great, we added domain, enabled domain users, and are able to logon with domain credentials just fine.. We have several CCTVs that autologon Using format below. Unmanager services
Dear goodnight. Is there any way to just let the alarm unmanager. Example: in case of server maintenance process or service be alerted unmanager this period, instead of the entire server. It would be important for the generation of indicators, which could make it show only the service in maintenance than the entire server. Thank you.
Auto or scheduled discovery
Hi there, We are using latest OpManager build 9410 but I can’t seem to find an option for auto discovery of devices. OpManager monitors, among other things, our workstations and we have changes on the network where PCs get added or removed. Is there any option that would allow us to have new PCs on the network automatically added to the OpManager under the Workstations template? Or any option we could schedule a periodical discovery on our Workstations subnet? Thanks, Nick.
BackupDB.bat not creating .ZIP file as expected in 9410
When running the BackupDB.bat in version 9410 it creates the 'temp' folder and contents but does not zip it up and clean up the temp folder as it did in 9200. Is this a know issue and if so is there a workaround? I need this working to meet a requirement for scheduled backups and all was working fine in 9200. Thanks!
I keep getting disk latency e-mail alerts and they clear immediately?
The message reads: Disk Read Latency is 10822 Disk Read Latency (Millisecond), threshold value for this monitor is 50 Disk Read Latency (Millisecond) However about 5 seconds later I get another e-mail to say the error has cleared. I get these around every 5 mins and it's very annoying. I can't set the limit much higher and I need to know what the error is. Thanks.
Intergration with Service desk
Looking at the trial versions of the OpManager and ServiceDesk. There seems to be some connection between the two products yet there isn't. How can we assign a ticket to a technician for say printer issues and a different tech for server issues? There is a pull down option on the "Configure Profile Details" page but you cannot select anything for Technician, Category or Priority, it states "choose a value" but the is nothing to choose from. How do we make this happen?
Remove all default device templates in Opmanager
Hi guys, I see that OpManager comes with 650 default device templates. Is there a way that I can remove all of these and then start over with my own device tempaltes? There is the option to delete them individually, this will take some time and I would prefer a one click method that can do this. Thanks~!

Suppressing alerts at specific times of the day/night?

Hi, I have just noticed that if i change the thresholds of a specific interface from Admin \ Interface Templates all interfaces of that type on all devices are becoming managed. This has created a big problem as i made a change on Ethernet (type 6), so in some minutes i received hundreds of alarms from ports that were not managed before - as used by users. I have solved it going switch by switch and router by router (i have more then 100 equipments) and i have un-manage all interfaces apart infrastructure
