Hello, in the device details, I've created a custom filed called Location and would like to know if there is a way to populate this field automatically using snmp: 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.6 - sysLocation? I would hate to have to maintain the information in the devices and in OpManager and I would like to avoid those csv imports. Thx! JEC
Is it possible to show the site name beside the servername?
I would like to see the site name on the central server beside the servername on the alerts list. Is there an option to show this? With 500 devices an 10 sites, it is not easy to see directly on which site the server is. Thanks Jo

Whe use opman 10.0, when we install e agent on a systeem in will come online for 1 minute afther then is goes offline en never come back online. Saying can connect to the server.
opmanager 10 slow, not usable
Hi all, we've just installed OpManager 10, last release. Now we're monitoring about 180 devices. All of the sudden, the web interface has become very slow: about 10 minutes after service start, it becomes simply unusable (it takes about 20 minutes to login). We've tried several things, we've disabled interactive service detection (both disabling win service and editing the opmanager xml file), we've tried to tune the postgres db (increasing the memory buffer and so on), but the issue still persists.

cannot connect in credential using telnet
Hi, I have a problem on using a credential telnet when im using my modem(Zyxel P-2612HWU-F1) also known as wifi modem the connection cannot be succeeded even you input the correct password. but if im using a putty it can be connected. I think the difference is when im using the putty it is not asking for username, only password but in the credential it requires username.
SMS Notification (on-call scheme)
We use an on-call rotation scheme. Where each week another engineers mobile phone will receive the notifications. Since this is not a feature in the current version of OpManager, we hacked ourselveves a solution by altering the the contents of the database. This seems to work for escalations but not for notifications. If I go to notifications and save it, it'll work. Could you either tell us, how to solve this and/or implement an on-call scheme in the notifiation and escalation function. This is

Custom icons in List View
When i use the "List View" of a "Bussines View" before the Name of de Device appears a 18x18 icon, for example, for cisco, but for other types of devices OpManager use a "unknown" default icon. Exists a way, modifing for example an XML file, to associate a custom 18x18 icon for that type of view? Thanks in advance

Hi Have just tried to install updates ready to upgrade to 10.0 After installing as per the instructions and a reboot I cannot restart the Manage Engine OpManager, I get the following error: Windows could not start the ManageEngine OpManager on Local Computer. Ping timeout
Hi, I was trying to get my ping timeout to more than 1 second trough the ping.properties -file (\OpManager\conf\Ping.properties). I have done this before and it has worked like the documentation has said. Now after some new updates (9410 and now 10), the timeout value seems to have no effect? All the devices with timeout over 1 second are "device not responding", even if the value has been changed to 4 seconds. I have restarted the server so the new value should be used. How to detect an application “freeze”
I have OpManager build 9400. Is there a way to detect when a application “stalls” or “locks up / freezes”. Since the service / application is still running I cannot use the Process Monitors. There are no errors in the logs so I cannot use the Event Log monitors. I am open for suggestions. Thank you,

Hi, I install the OpManager 9 on Windows 2008 R2, but the Installation hangs. After 4 hours the Installation is not ready. I force a reboot at the system and it's look like the OpManger runs. Is there a bug in the setup routine? Regards Dirk
Device already present in the system
Hi there, Having issues with "Add Device" under the Admin tab. It returned "Device already present in the System". Opmanager ver: 10000 VM Instances: Win2k8R2 ESXi ver: 5.1 Vcloud Director: 5.1 For example our production environment VM instance is named ABC123. Our test/Dev environment (which a copy of production environment in Vcloud director) which also has server named VCD-123 with long hex code name). Both have the same IP addresses. Initially I deleted the VCD-123 version and added ABC123 probably.
Monitoring OPmanager 9
Hello, We have experienced the situation where when we attempt to log into opManager, we realize that we cannot access the webserver for the application. We usually reboot the host server to resolve this issue but the main issue is that we were had no way of knowing that there was an issue with op manager. The service was running and it is only an internal site so no .com monitoring. Do you have any recommendations for getting notified when the opmanager application fails?
Trap Processors
Hi Is it possible to programmatically create trap processors for OpManager (e.g. via a script)? I have a number of notifications and traps that I am currently loading in via the MIB, but this means that the end user then has to go and edit each of the traps to display only the variables that they wish to see (or that we wish them to see). SNMP Problem on Red Hat Linux Server
Hi, I have configured OpManager with NetFlow on a Red Hat Linux Server. I haven't problem with Netflow. It's work fine. My problem is with SNMP. It doesn't work. I have configured SNMP on the router. Domain Controller not show AD information
I have a Domain Controller, but the OpManager doesn't show the AD information. WMI and SNMP shows OK. The container DomainController was deleted in the past, the i recreated. But is not working.

Vmware OPmanager 9 add host: webservices error
Hi, I am trying to add a host in OPmanager 9. I already have a host in OPmanager and the host I'm trying to add used to be in OPmanager, but was deleted. When I try to add this host back in, with the same credentials used before and on the working manager host, I get an error: Couldn't fetch information from webservices I can browse to the host over the web, so I know that the webservices are working. Ping a device
Hi, Good Morning. I would like to perform ping test from a device to many other ip based device. Currently i could see ping test happens with only the devices which are added in the OpManager. But, as like URL Monitors under Admin page, i want to know whether OpManager has an option to add IP address (not as a device) for a continues ping test and alert if it is not responding. Dear All, is there an opportunity to implement the "Response Time Monitor" into a device template such as "windows 2003"? Or do I have do set these settings (e.g. threshold or alarm setting) for each device manually?
