Unable to fetch Managed Object details for the object
Opmgr v.7024 Every device I add, produces the "Unable to fetch Managed Object details for the object " when I try to view it. I have tried removing/re-adding with the quick configuration wizard and also with the article in the knowledgbase using removedevice.bat I have also repaired the database with the repairdb batch file. Rebooted etc. Tried adding different devices, removing via quick config and via the bac file for each. Tried adding multiple devices, devices of different types all give the
Cisco B Channel configuration
On Auto discovery of a Cisco Device with Voice E1's or T1's the B-Channels are monitored, this does not really make sense as Voice call by definition goes up and down all the time. You can go and remove all the B-Channels from being managed but on many E1's that’s a bit of pain. Is there an easier way to stop B-Channels being picked up in Auto discovery? Kind Regards, Tim

Community: I am new to OpMan so please forgive if this is a simple question. I am looking to apply a global notification policy for every server that we are monitoring for simple ping. I can do this manually per machine, but with 300 machines that is a bit of a task. Is there a way to globally apply a notification profile/rule to every device? Thank you for any input available. SSH - Credential Details

Mixed Permissions or access to execute IT Automation Tasks
I have a need to allow my Tier 1 Help Desk to kick of certain IT Automation Workflows when they encounter certain issues. I do not want to give them Full access to achieve this. I would prefer to be able to give them permissions just to the workflow. If this can't be done how do I create users with Full access only to a single device or specific devices but Read-Only to other Devices? It's hard for me to believe that mixed Read/Full access permissions are still not available at this time!?

OpManager 10 not discovering all Hyper-V guests
Hi all, OpManager 10 doesn't seem to be discovering all Hyper-V guests on a given host - there are definitely two guests present, but OpManager is only showing one of them. If I add the missing guest manually, OpManager won't let me change the device category to "Virtual Device". Is there some way to force OpManager to detect all guests again? Network Monitor is not updating
Dear professionals, The network monitor is not updating in Oputils 6, when i add an device it shows as up and monitoring status is running i set monitor every 20 sec and nothing is changing the last update time is kept on the first time i added the device i tried to bring that device down and nothing changed and status still showing up in green Please guide me if there is something wrong i am doing. in addition i can't scan windows machines like in oputlis 5 that have windows credential tab to enter

Hi We use OpManager 9 enterprise (build 9101) and on the machine we also need to run our Anti Virus. It seems there is an issue with Trend Micro Officescan virus with OpManger and I have been working with support to help resolve the issue but still running into problems. I have been advised that I need to open firewall ports and set exclusions for the Antivirus, I have done this but still running into isssues. We have set up exclusions both on folder and application level and excluded the application

We are getting the error "Unable to fetch Managed Object details for the object : 10.150.0.18" when attempting to open up a recently added device. We get the same error "Unable to fetch Managed Object details for the object : undefined" when attempting to remove partitions that are under Performance Monitors for some Linux VMs running in ESXi. Also our ASA5510 that is at 10.10.6.1 is reported to be at 10.10.6.10, yet monitoring is working. I did run the RepairDB.sh, no changes except that it removed

Situation : I have a prod server which is installed opmanager v10000 (but was upgraded from version 6 to 7, 8, 9 and 10) I have another dev server which is installed v9 then upgraded 10. Both are with MySQL database installed, in english language, but I used to put some field with accent. OpManager and Silent Option
Hello, I want to install OpManager using the "-silent" option. Unfortunately, I find no documentation allowing me to use this option. I guess this option needs to use a configuration file. What are the options / keywords that i can use in this configuration file? How can i specify this file to the silent option ? Customize Widget
Currently widgets cannot be customized to remove or add fields. For instance we would love to use the CCTV feature to show our users what is going on in IT. However we can't remove or change the way server names are displayed in the existing widgets. This is important because: 1. We don't want to reveal the host names of our servers to users for security reasons but its important to IT to use the host names in OpManager for monitoring. 2. The hostnames would make no sense to most users anyways.

Rack View - Blade Servers
Question: Is there a way to create a blade or "multi-node" system within a U-space? Example, I have a Quad-node system in a 2U platform, and each of these 4 nodes has a managed IP address. I do not want to show them as four servers in the rack view, I want to show four IP addresses attached to a single 2U system. (Specifically, these are four ESX hosts running within a Quad node 2U SMC server) The same would apply to "twin" systems, which would be two nodes running within a single 1U system etc etc.

Avaya ERS Memory Utilization from OID calculation
I am attempting to create a custom monitor that will provide Memory Utilization for Avaya ERS 45xx/5xxx switches. Avaya allows access to an OID for Total Memory (.1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.3.8.1.1.12) and one for Available Memory (.1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.3.8.1.1.13). I have created monitors for these individual OIDs to be sure the data is available and correct results are returned. OpManager Notification Settings
Has anyone had an issues where the notification settings changing on their own? One day the team goes through and sets up the alerts in the notifications and the next day they have changed and some items are unchecked. My team swears that no one touch them but I find it hard to believe they can change on there own? Any ideas? Thank you,

How to optimize BBDD and server performance?
Hi all, We are running Opmanager and Netflow Analyser in a 4 quadcore and 4GB RAM server. We are experiencing bad performance (about 1000ms to charge the web pages) so we want to improve this performace. Any idea? Virtual devices vs servers
Hey I have imported 3 of my 12 ESXi servers, and have gotten the virtual servers imported. Then i have moved my Exchange 2010 servers to "exchange", which caused the Exchange server object to be moved to "servers" instead. Is there a trade off, if I move all the servers (virtual devices) into servers instead ? Just so I have them all collected in one panel view....
Cisco Small Business SG500X-24p Switch
All, I have tried to get the Cisco SG500X-24P switch recognized by OpManager, but I am having no success. I have downloaded the mibs from the Cisco website, copied them to the opManager mibs directory. I have tried using the mib browser in the admin section of OpManager with no success. Does anyone have a template that I can import as I have had no success creating my own. Thanks
