There should be an option to add a chassis and specify the number of servers contained within, then dragging the servers into those slots. For example, I have a Cisco UCS 5108 chassis that is 6U, and contains 8 half-width blade servers.

MSSQL - DataBase blank to monitor
I am adding MSSQL server to monitor. The test password was successfully done. Monitors added successfully, but when choosing the databases to be monitored I click to choose just that they do not appear in the list, the list is blank. We are looking to create workflows to automate some of our daily checks e.g. we want a workflow that checks at a certain time whether there is a file less than 24 hours old in a specified folder, if there is then no action and if not we want to log a ticket to support desk. Hi I am trying to see if there is a way to generate an SDP ticket, or even just send an email from an alarm in the alarms panel. Not an automatic one, that's part of the notification profile, and works fine. Choose Database By default OpManager comes with PG is along with the application. Database and application on the same server. In matter of performance that's good right? But PG is the database that I can trust 100%? I say this because of large amount of information, the information supports the PG? Hi Build: 10100 I have discovered the vCenter server with creds that have the automatically detect tick box. However when I add new VMs they do not appear automatically. All other VMs at time of discovery were fine though. How do I ensure all new VMs are auto-detected? Thanks
Exchange 2007 monitoring with OpManager 8 problem
Hi All, I am very new to OpManager and am trying to get it to monitor exchange however everything under 'Exchange Dashboard View' is either N/A or 0 req(s). SNMP and WMI is working correctly and I can add SNMP and WMI monitors manually (under performance monitors) and they report a status. Monitors under 'Information Store Mailbox Monitors' all come back with a "The Monitor did not respond to the test request'. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Migrating Opmanager to new server
I am planning to migrate my Opmanager 9410 Professional Edition to a new server. Currently using Opmanager 9410 with MYSQL database. I have already install Opmanager 9450 on the new server. Exchange 2007 Monitoring
Has anyone managed to get useful information out of the exchange dashboards? According to OpsManager my transport servers are sending over 100,000 messages per second and that I have hundreds of active connections to my public folders/mailboxes. My messages sent/min is also 0 which seems unlikely so I'm not entirely sure what's going on...

process counter not showing values since Version 10
after migration to Version 10 incl SP1 and SP2 the process counter monitor doesn´t show anymore the number of instances. E.g. w3wp.exe on a Webserver. OPMANAGER is running on W2k3 Server. Is there a known Bug or workaround to get it runnin again, like in Version 9.x Thanks Robert

I may be a bit thick here; but I see no mention of the "ManageEngine OpManager Agent", but as I can see, it is an installable; and I have it running as a service on a few servers (Windows 2008 R2 all of them). What is this? And what does it give me that WMI doesn't? And why is it barely mentioned anywhere?

WMI credentials to devices using custom templates
Hi, In order to properly manage all my servers i have created 2 Server templates (Servers Dell and Servers HP) including standard monitoring (CPU, Memory, Disk Utilization, etc.) adding particular monitors for the vendor hardware. I cannot add the WMI credentials to the servers using the Custom templates. I cannot add in the Dashboard (the WMI list is empty). Also through the Credentials assignment doesn't work. Reconfigure OpManager to use MySQL database backend
I need to know how to tell OpManager to go back to using the previous MySQL database. The DB Configuration applet only gives me the options for PostgreSQL and MSSQL. In performing the migration to MSSQL the BackupDB_Mysql.bat process failed due to lack of disk space so I have no "BackUp_.Zip" file. I've already used the DB Configuration applet to point OpManager to a MSSQL server but now I find myself having to set the connection back to use MySQL to perform the required backup to get the zip file

Notification Email Queue verification
Hi, During some testing i've setup intentionally a wrong SMTP server so notifications are not sent to recipients - testing phase. This was done so i don't need to remove the notification profiles. Now i am in the position of putting back the correct SMTP server, but first i want to make sure the old emails are not in a queue of OPManager and will be sent later. Hi, we’re using the OpManager build 10100 with APM-Plugin. When I create a dashboard with a widget for example with “Devices with alarms” or “All alarms” the dashboard is not updated automatically. Is this right and is there a way to fix this? Kind regards Christian
