What is the difference between Subscription and Perpetual license models?

What is the difference between Subscription and Perpetual license models?

ManageEngine offers two different types of license models:

1. Perpetual Model:
Under the perpetual model, the licensing is perpetual, and a small Annual Maintenance and Support (AMS) fee is applied (to be paid every year apart from the one-time license fee) to cover maintenance, support, and updates.

2.Annual Subscription Model:
In the annual subscription model, the license is valid for one year, after which it expires. To maintain the license, renewal is required annually. The subscription price includes the Annual Maintenance and Support (AMS) fee, which is not charged separately.
