What are the prerequisites required to monitor Hyper-V with Non-Admin user account?
Hyper-V Can be monitored with non admin credentials by following the below steps:
Please follow the steps from link below on the Admin account:
After completing the steps mentioned in the above link please perform the below steps.
1. Click Start>Run..., type lusrmgr.msc and click OK
2.select Groups and select Hyper-V Administrators.
3.Right-click "Hyper-V Administrators" to bring up the menu, and click Properties.
4.Click Add and type the local user account, click Check Names, then click OK.
5.Click Apply and OK and close the properties menu and restart the Windows.
Note:
Hyper-V can be monitored with non-admin account only if that non-admin account is added in Hyper-V Administrators group. Also this non-admin account will not changed to admin account on that server after adding this in Hyper-V Administrators group. If that non-admin account is not added in Hyper-V Administrators then Hyper-V Virtual Machine related metrics and some other Hyper-V Host metrics(Hyper-V Services,Hypervisor related metrics) cannot be monitored in APM.
