Troubleshooting Applications Manager Plugin (APM Plugin) issues in OpManager/OpManager Plus

APM Plugin is down abnormally

  1. If the APM plugin is installed as a service, check the wrapper.log file to find whether it was shut down by any external program. If it has any memory/performance-related prints, report the issue to appmanager-support@manageengine.com and restart the Applications Manager service. After the restart, log out of OpManager. Then, log in again and then click on the Apps tab in OpManager GUI.

  2. If APM Plugin is not installed as a service, check the latest console.txt file to find whether it was shut down by any external program. If it has any memory/performance-related prints, report the issue to appmanager-support@manageengine.com and restart the OpManager service.

APM Plugin not started along with OpManager/OpManager Plus

  1. Please check the latest console.txt or wrapper.log file in case of service installations to know the status. Please wait until the log updates with the below print:

    Applications Manager started successfully.
    Please connect your client to the web server on: [ 
    http://test-1234:9090/ ]

  2. If there is no latest console.txt file or no update in wrapper.log file, check whether the latest StartUpLogs_out.txt and StartUpLogs_err.txt files contain any error. If you are not sure about the prints/error, contact appmanager-support@manageengine.com for help.
