Steps to create a new user in VectorWise database for Windows till 12.4


Steps to Create a new user in VerctorWise database build 3.5.1

Steps if the HighPerf Reprting Engine is installed in the same server where the NetFlow Analyzer is installed:

1. Stop the NetFlow Analyzer service.
2. Download and extract the file named VWCreateUser.zip form the below link:

https://uploads.zohocorp.com/Internal_Useruploads/dnd/NetFlow_Analyzer/o_1a6lm88l27741hjj4p018gtnv41/VWCreateUser.zip

The VWCreateUser folder contains the file named VWCreateUser.bat.

3. Please copy the VWCreateUser.bat file under NetFlow_Home/bin
4. Open the command prompt as Administrator and navigate to NetFlow_Home/bin
5. Execute the below to create an new user ( Should be an admin user for the server ):

VWCreateUser.bat UserName Password

example:

VWCreateUser.bat NetFlowAdmin Netflowadmin

6. Once executed, Restart the NetFlow Analyzer server and navigate to Admin -> Advanced Settings -> HighPerf Reporting Engine -> Enter the Correct Username and password of the User and do Test and Save.

Steps if the HighPerf Reprting Engine is installed on a separate server:

1. Stop the Actian service.
2. Download and extract the file named VWCreateUser.zip form the below link:

https://uploads.zohocorp.com/Internal_Useruploads/dnd/NetFlow_Analyzer/o_1a6lm88l27741hjj4p018gtnv41/VWCreateUser.zip

The VWCreateUser folder contains the file named VWCreateUser.bat.

3. Please copy the VWCreateUser.bat file under NetFlow_Home\HighPerformanceReportingEngine
4. Open the command prompt as Administrator and navigate to NetFlow_Home\HighPerformanceReportingEngine
5. Execute the below to create an new user ( Should be an admin user for the server ):

VWCreateUser.bat UserName Password

Example:

VWCreateUser.bat NetFlowAdmin Netflowadmin

7. Start the Actian service on the server.

6. Once executed, Restart the NetFlow Analyzer server and navigate to Admin -> Advanced Settings -> HighPerf Reporting Engine -> Enter the Correct Username and password of the User and do Test and Save.
