Resolving PPM Import Failure Due to Signature Mismatch

Resolving PPM Import Failure Due to Signature Mismatch

Overview

Due to a security certificate update, certain Applications Manager Service Packs (PPMs) have been re-signed with a new certificate. Users using an offline setup may encounter a signature mismatch error while importing these Service Packs if the required public certificate is not available in the Update Manager.

This KB explains how to resolve the issue and proceed with the upgrade.

Error

While importing the PPM, the following error may be displayed:

AlertSignature does not match with any available certificates.
Download the public certificate from https://updates.manageengine.com/certificates/latest.crt and please import valid certificate or contact appmanager-support@manageengine.com with your product build number.

Resolution

Step 1: Download the public certificates

Download the servicepack_certs.zip attached in this page.

Step 2: Import the certificate into Update Manager

  1. Open ManageEngine Update Manager.

  2. Click Import all 3 Certificates.

  3. Retry importing the required PPM.

After the certificates are imported, retry the Service Pack upgrade.

Important Notes

  • The signature mismatch does not indicate that the PPM is corrupted.

  • If the certificate does not work, please share a screenshot of the error along with a screenshot showing the version of the downloaded ppm file to below mail.
