How to reset the local technician password in EventLog Analyzer

Objective

This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to reset the local technician's password.

Prerequisites

Ensure you have administrator access to the EventLog Analyzer console.

Steps to follow

Password can be reset using two ways:

  1. Reset password using the Administrator account

  2. Self password reset post login

Case 1: Reset password using Administrator account

    • Login to the EventLog Analyzer Console with Administrator role.

    • Navigate to the below path,
      EventLog Analyzer UI -> Settings -> Admin Settings -> Technician & Roles

    • Click the Update technician details icon of the technician for whom the password has to be reset.

    • Click the Change Password icon to choose a new password and then confirm the password.


    • Enter the new password for the technician.

 

Case 2: Self password reset post login

If the technician can login to the EventLog Analyzer and wants to update the password, they can follow the below steps

  • Click the Profile icon and select "My Account".

  • Navigate to the Change Password tab and update the password as per your requirement.
     

 Tips 

  • Plan scheduled maintenance time to reset the password in a periodic manner.

  • Use password vault browser extensions like Zoho Vault to remember and store the password used.
