How to modify the report Export Limit in EventLog Analyzer
Objective
EventLog Analyzer allows administrators to export report data for external analysis or archival. By default, the export limit is set to 20,000 records to ensure optimal performance and user experience. This limit can be adjusted to meet organizational reporting needs.
Prerequisite
- Ensure the user account has been assigned the necessary role or privileges to access the Product Settings module.
Steps to follow
To change the number of records in the exported reports:
Step 1: Navigate to: Settings > Admin Settings > Product Settings > Product Configuration > Export Limit
Step 2: Locate the field labeled Export Limit.
Step 3: Enter the desired maximum number of records to be exported.
Step 4: Click Save to apply the changes.
Tips
- The default value is 20,000 records. This can be increased or decreased depending on your system capacity and reporting needs.
- The maximum value can be set up to 2,147,483,647
- Setting an excessively high export limit may:
- Increase memory and CPU usage during export.
- Slow down the product’s responsiveness while generating large reports.
- Choose an export limit based on:
- Average report size
- Available system resources
- Intended export frequency
