How to find build number and version

Objective

This article offers the options to identify the build number and version of EventLog Analyzer in the user interface and in the product installation directory.

Prerequisites

  • Have access to the EventLog Analyzer user interface as an admin.

  • Have access to the EventLog Analyzer server and access to the installation folder to open a text editor.

Steps to follow

EventLog Analyzer build number and versions can be seen in two ways:

Case : 1. User interface
Case : 2. Installation directory


Case 1:
 
User interface: 

Step 1: Click the ? icon in the top-right corner and select About to view the details of the product build number and version.

Step 2: Click the ? symbol in the top-right corner and select License to view the product build number and version.

Step 3: Navigate to the Settings tab > System Settings > System Diagnostics > System Info.

Step 4: Navigate to the Support tab > Product to see the build number.

 

Case 2: Installation directory: 

NOTE: Do not modify any content while you check the build number in the installation directory files.

  1. Step 1: Navigate to the <EventLog Analyzer Home>\conf folder and open the product.conf file with a text editor to view the file.

  1. Step 2: Navigate to the <EventLog Analyzer Home>\troubleshooting folder and open the build.properties file with a text editor to view the file.

Tips

  • Do not modify any content while you check the build number in the installation directory file.

  • Perform regular planned maintenance to upgrade the application to the latest version.

  • Subscribe to the Request Release Notification to get regular updates on new releases.
