How to enforce ADSelfService Plus to fetch user's mail or mobile number from specific attributes
ADSelfService Plus will fetch the email ID and mobile number values from Active Directory attributes to send out password expiration notifications and other product notifications. By default the mail attribute is used for email ID and the mobile attribute is used for mobile number. To fetch the values from other attributes as well, follow the steps below:
- Login to the ADSelfService Plus admin portal as an administrator or super admin user.
- Navigate to Admin > Product Settings > Mail/SMS Settings.
- Click the Mail/Mobile Attributes button in the top-right corner of the Mail/SMS Server Settings console.
- In the Mail/Mobile Attributes pop-up that open, select the Domain from which the attributes should be fetched.
- Choose between Mail or Mobile.
- By default, mail and mobile are the attributes used for to fetch email IDs and mobile numbers.
- Click Add Attribute. Enter the attribute name and select checkmark icon.
