How to enable password protection for exported or scheduled reports
Objective
This article explains how to enable password protection for reports that are exported or generated via a schedule in ADAudit Plus.
Prerequisites
Steps to follow
Log in to the ADAudit Plus web console with an administrator account.
Navigate to Admin > General Settings > Privacy Settings.
In the Data Security section, check the box for Enable Password Protection for Export or Schedule Reports.
Enter a secure password in the Password field.
Re-enter the same password in the Confirm Password field.
Click Save.
Validation and confirmation
After saving the settings, export any report or wait for a scheduled report to run.
Attempt to open the exported report file (e.g., PDF or CSV).
The file should prompt you to enter the password you just configured, confirming that protection is active.
Tips
As noted in the UI, enabling this option requires the user to enter a password to open exported or scheduled reports.
Technicians can also set their own password for exported reports on their individual personalization page.
Use a strong, complex password and store it in a secure location, such as a password manager.
