How to configure daily email limit notifications in EventLog Analyzer

Objective

EventLog Analyzer provides an option to set a daily limit on the number of emails sent from the application. This helps prevent overloading your email server or exceeding the quota set by your email service provider.

You can also choose to enable or disable alert notifications when this daily email threshold is reached. This feature is particularly useful in environments with email throttling policies or restrictions imposed by corporate or cloud-based mail services.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure you have a mail server configured under Settings > System Settings > Notification > Mail Settings.
  • If not already set up, click here to configure the mail server.

Steps to follow

Step 1: Navigate to Settings > Admin Settings > Product Settings > Product Configuration.
Step 2: Set the value for the Maximum number of emails allowed per day.
Step 3: Use the Enable Mail Limit Alert check box to turn the daily limit notification on or off.
Step 4: Click Save to apply the changes.

Tips

  • The default daily email limit is set to 500 emails. Once the daily limit is reached, EventLog Analyzer will stop sending alert emails for the rest of the day.
  • It is recommended to set the limit based on your mail server's or provider's sending capacity to avoid delivery issues. The limit resets automatically every 24 hours.
