How to change the Problem ID sequence

In ServiceDesk Plus by default, the Problem ID starts from 1. Let us take an example of how do I change the Problem ID to start from 5001

We need to execute a query in the database to create a dummy Problem with ProblemID 5000 and then restart the application after which the new Problems created will start from 5001.

Click here to connect to the database and then execute the below query to create a dummy Problem.

insert into problem(problemid,title,reportedtime,updatedtime,duebytime,closedtime,isread,notespresent)values(50066,'Once the ID is reset please delete this problem from the application');

Restart ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus service.

Note: The already existing Problem ID's in the application cannot be changed.

To reset the problem id to 0:

Delete all Problem Ids from the application and connect to the database and execute the query given below,

delete from seqgenstate where seqname like '%problem%';
