How to change the Change ID sequence

In ServiceDesk Plus by default, the Change ID starts from 1. Let us take an example to change the Change ID to start from 5001.

We need to execute a query in the database to create a dummy Change with ChangeID 5000 and then restart the application after which the new changes created will start from 5001.

Click here to connect to the database and then execute the below query to create a dummy Change.

insert into changedetails(changeid,title,createdtime,scheduledstarttime,scheduledendtime,completedtime) values(5000,'Once the ID is reset, please delete this change from the application',0,0,0,0);

Restart ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus service.

Note: The already existing ChangeID's in the application cannot be changed.

To reset the change id to 0:

Delete all Change ids from the application and execute the query given below,

delete from seqgenstate where seqname like '%change%';
