How to back up your data in ServiceDesk Plus



Stop the ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus service from the Services console(services.msc).

 

Right, Click the Windows icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).

 

 Go to Bin directory and run backUpData.bat

 

The database, including file attachments, inline images, archives, and custom folders, will be backed up.

 

The backup file will be stored under ManageEngine\ServiceDesk\backup.


TRIMMED BACKUP :

Stop the ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus service from the Services console(services.msc).

 

Right Click the Windows icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).

 

 Go to Bin directory and run backUpData.bat --trimmed


Only the database will be backed up.

 

The backup file will be stored under ManageEngine\ServiceDesk\trimmedbackup.
