Script to Update Fields in Change Template Based on Category
Requirement : Implementer, UAT Owner, Reviewer, Change Approver, Line Manager, and Change Owner should be updated based on the change category selected.
Steps :
1. Stop the product.
2. Take a backup of the application .
3. Navigate to the prod_home/webapps/root/scripts/ and replace the change_scripts.js ( Attached the file )
4. Start the product.
5. Navigate to Admin -> Templates & Forms -> Change Template -> Select the template (which the script need to be configured) -> Field and Form rules.-> On-field Change.
6. Create a new rule and set actions as Execute scripts -> and paste the script ( SetchangeRoles.txt )
7. Save the template and its configuration.
8. Now when the user selects the change template and category, based on the category, the Implementer, UAT Owner, Reviewer, Change Approver, Line Manager, and Change Owner are updated.
Note:
1. change_scripts.js and SetchangeRoles.txt file are attached for your reference.
2. We need to update category names, and user IDs as per the requirement in the given script.
