Error: Mobile app deployment requires a secure HTTPS connection. Enable HTTPS.

Issue description

The error message, "Mobile app deployment requires a secure HTTPS server connection. Enable HTTPS." may appear when an admin attempts to deploy the ADSelfService mobile application through the admin portal.

Possible cause

  • ADSelfService Plus is currently running over HTTP, which is not supported for mobile app deployment.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to Admin > Product Settings > Connection in the admin console.
  2. Select the HTTPS radio button.
    • Automatic SSL certificate: An SSL certificate will be generated and applied automatically by ADSelfService Plus.
    • Upload your own SSL certificate: If you wish to use an existing SSL certificate (e.g., from a trusted Certificate Authority), click the Apply SSL Certificate button. For detailed steps, refer to How to apply SSL certificate.
  3. After enabling HTTPS, retry the mobile app deployment configuration.
