Data Privacy and Handling

Data Privacy and Handling :

At times, ManageEngine Support team asks for backup from customer to do the upgrade or for other debugging purposes. To make sure the data is secured and their privacy is maintained, we follow the below strict rules :

a. We receive the database through our private FTP server. As per our compliance, the files that are uploaded will be deleted automatically in max of 7-10 days.
b. Customer support team will download the database in a dedicated test machine which is password protected and the machine is accessible only for restricted employees.
c. Customer support team is trained to handle the data and they will follow password reset procedure to access the user interface and they will stop - mail fetching and sending before they start the application in our test environment, such that unwanted notifications will not be sent.
d. The database will not be shared with any other third parties.
e. The database will be only used for debugging purposes.
f. Once the ticket(issue) is resolved, the database will be deleted immediately and the database will be shared with the customer through Secured FTP server (in case of upgrades).
