How to change Applications Manager directory from one drive to another?
Follow the below steps to change the Applications Manager folder directory from one drive to another:
- Please copy the Applications Manager folder from the source drive and paste the same on the destination drive.
- Stop the Applications Manager service from Windows Services Manager (services.msc) console.
- Now open command terminal as administrator and execute the shutdownApplicationsManager.bat -force command after navigating to <Applications Manager Home> directory.
- Check whether all the services related to Applications Manager are stopped from the Task Manager and check the tray icon as well.
- Then disable the startup for the service of Applications Manager from Windows Services Manager (services.msc) console.
- From the new destination drive, run the installService.bat from <Applications Manager Home>/bin directory and start the Applications Manager service using the new service from Windows Services Manager (services.msc) console.
Note: As a precautionary step, we recommend you to take a complete backup (including database backup) of the Application Manager directory. To learn more about the steps to perform database backup, refer here.
