Applog System Requirements

This article outlines the system requirements for Applications Manager to store and process logs effectively. Ensure Applications Manager meets the following requirements before configuring AppLogs.

InfoNote: The system requirements mentioned in this article are applicable only for AppLogs. For system requirements related to other monitors, refer to the Applications Manager System Requirements page.

Storage Requirements

The storage required depends on the volume of logs uploaded per month and the configured retention period.

Formula

Required Storage = (Monthly Upload (GB) ÷ 30) × Retention Period (days) × 50%

Use the table below to identify the storage required based on your monthly log upload volume and retention period.

Memory Requirements

The memory required depends on the number of log types configured in Applications Manager.

Formula

Required Memory = Number of Log Types × 64 MB  (Maximum: 320 MB)

Use the table below to identify the memory required based on the number of log types configured.

5 or more 320 MB
Notes
Note: The maximum memory allocated for AppLogs is 320 MB regardless of the number of log types configured beyond 5.
