Applications Manager says perfservlet is not installed even when perfservlet is present. What could be the problem?

  1. Make sure that you can access the perfservlet.xml , while invoking the URL with the IP address and port as follows:
    1. http://192.168.23.41:9080/wasPerfTool/servlet/perfservlet?connector=SOAP&port=8880
  2. Verify if you have deployed perfservlet in the right server.
  3. For ND mode, Make sure the Deployment manager is up and running.
  4. Make sure that a Websphere Admin User is added to the monitor group of the  perfservletApp , if global security is enabled in Websphere.
    1. To do so, go to Websphere Admin console → Applications → Installed Applications → Choose perfservletapp → Security role to user group mapping → Choose Monitor Role → Associate the admin user → Save directly to the master configuration.
  5. If it does not respond, then check, if the virtual host is configured in the WebSphere Server. To verify it, follow these steps:
    1. Login to the admin console of WebSphere Server.
    2. Expand the Environment node and click Virtual Hosts.
    3. Click "default_host" and then Host Aliases.
    4. Now check if the Host Name for the port 9080 is displayed as " * " or hostname. If the hostname is given, then change it to " * " , save the configurations and restart the WebSphere Server.
    5. Add it in Applications Manager.
