Starting with Applications Manager version 180900, an option is available in the UI to explicitly allow previously registered agents to re-register after they are reinstalled.
In versions before 180900, this option is not available in the UI, and there are no restrictions on agent re-registration.
Note: These steps are required only for agents that are already registered in Applications Manager. If an agent has not been registered previously, no additional steps are necessary.
Steps to Allow Agent Re-registration
- Navigate to Settings → FSO Agent → View Agent.
- Select the server(s) where the agents have been reinstalled.
- Click the Uninstall icon in the toolbar.
- Choose Mark as Uninstalled.
This action allows the reinstalled agents to re-register with Applications Manager.
Verifying Agent Re-registration Attempts
To verify whether an agent is attempting to re-register:
- Navigate to Settings → FSO Agent → Agent Error Logs.
- Check the latest collection time for messages indicating that the agent is attempting to re-register.
- If such a message is present, mark the corresponding agent as Uninstalled using the steps above.
