How to add custom LDAP attributes
Steps to add a custom LDAP attribute in ADManager Plus:
- Go to the Admin tab.
- In the left pane navigate to Custom Settings > LDAP attributes.
- In the Customize LDAP attributes page, click on the Add Attribute option.
- In the Custom Attribute window that opens up,
- Enter the LDAP Name and the desired Display Name.
- Select the appropriate Data Type of the custom attribute.
- In the Associated Reports drop-down, select the reports in which this attribute can be used. You can leave this field empty if you do not want to view the custom attribute in ADManger Plus reports.
- In the Associated Management drop-down, select the management actions in which the custom attribute can be used. Leave this option empty if you do not wish to manage the custom attribute's value using ADManager Plus.
- Click Add.
- This value of this custom attribute can now be managed or viewed using the selected management actions and reports respectively.
The newly added custom attribute can now be managed or viewed using the selected management actions and reports respectively.
Note: In the latest build, you can choose the LDAP name from an exhaustive list provided by ADManager Plus. Upon selecting one, the data type will be automatically chosen. Update ADManager Plus to the latest version to avail this feature.
