We are happy to announce that several highly requested and long-awaited enhancements for the Worklog entity are forthcoming. Here are the screenshots provided below to illustrate these features. Here are the screenshots provided below to illustrate these features.
1. Customized worklog templates:
Customized templates can be created for worklogs that will be listed when adding a worklog.
2. A specific template can be set as default and technicians can choose desired templates when adding a worklog.
3. Field level customizations can also be done.
4. Various types of custom fields and columns are supported for Worklog templates.
5. Worklog template deletion:
Templates can be deleted from the list view. Templates that have been used will be marked as "Inactive" and moved to the Inactive list to preserve historical data. If necessary, they can be reactivated at a later time.
6. Currently, if a technician wants to view others worklogs, they will need "edit or delete other time entries" access enabled in the role associated to them. With this enhancement, technicians can now view others worklogs without providing them access to "edit or delete other time entries". Refer to the attached screen capture for the visual preview.
