Working with multiple URLs to be monitored / edited
I'm working with Build 7205 and in the URL monitors, specifically. There are a few steps that would greatly simplify the setup and customization that I cannot seem to find a way to do.
Specifically, they are:
1. The ability to edit logon credentials for multiple URLs at once. I have several URLs to check which are a subset of a base Intranet site, yet it seems that should the logon password change I'll need to edit each URL monitor *individually*. That's quite cumbersome.
2. The ability to have a URL monitoring template that certain URLs can accept. For example, when adding individual URLs to be monitored, I need to specify each setting at setup (timeout, polling interval, alerting e-mail address). For the use of thresholds to check for slow page loads, I then need to edit the URL and enable threshold checking. It's cumbersome to have to edit each URL threshold individually, especially if further changes to any of the settings are desired in the future.
I wondered if I could create a business view to possibly apply templates to the URLs but the URL nodes aren't available to be added in a business view. Is there another grouping / category that could be created to help apply those settings to a larger group of URLs?
Has anyone run into these concerns, and if so, how have they been resolved? Many thanks for the assistance and feedback.
