Workflows to trigger monitors and react on results.

We are looking to create workflows to automate some of our daily checks e.g. we want a workflow that checks at a certain time whether there is a file less than 24 hours old in a specified folder, if there is then no action and if not we want to log a ticket to support desk.

However when looking at monitors there is the functionality there, but no way of setting further perameters such as scheduling etc.

So this brought me to implementing these processes via the use of workflows, however when looking at the functionality for folder monitoring in workflow view it is limited to 'Check folder exists' and 'check folder size'.

Any ideas would be welcome as I've kind of hit a dead end where monitoring via folder monitors per server is an issue on a large estate due to our 500+ servers being monitored I would have to go and manually clear all alerts to get it to report again on a day to day basis.
