Windows Service Monitoring
I have a question on the Windows Service Monitoring...
I did a brief install of OpManager Last night, then reinstalled Windows.
I can not remember 100% what the options were under the Windows Service options were for adding a service. I thought the options were for a service name and then port number? Or am I getting confused with the "Service Monitors" rather than the Windows Service monitors.
I am going to install again tomorrow and check it out.
From the short test I did last night there are a couple of options I would like to see.
1 - Ability to hide Monitors when not being used... Or the ability to sort the order of monitors, so you can put the ones you are not using at the bottom of the page.
2 - For the MS users, I think it would be handy to have link under the Server Details for "Remote Desktop" so if you need you can remote... Perhaps expanding on this, a link to a drill down menu which contains links to Remote Desktop, and perhaps some ManageEngine OpUtils tools which might be handy...
3 - Ability to change the views... This is along the lines of the business view, but all I want to see is my servers. I dont manage the network, so the links to Switches/Printers is clutter, so the abliity to change what type of object you only want to see would be nice as well.
Z - My perspective on the above suggestions comes from a Server Admin point of view and that I have only used the product for a few hrs, so perhaps the features are there and i didnt find them. Also the suggestions relate to Web console only.
