Windows Service Monitor Alerts
Hello -
I have Op Manager v11 (build 11400) running on W2K8 R2.
We added a couple of additional Windows services that we wanted to monitor on a couple of servers. We assigned those to the appropriate servers and then created the necessary notification profiles, etc.
We have the servers set to be polled every 5 minutes. The Win service monitor is set to generate an alarm if one poll is missed.
To test, we stopped the services in question and waited for the alert to send. We were expecting it to arrive shortly (at least within 5-6 minutes). However, it took almost exactly an hour to appear. We tested again and found the same result (almost exactly an hour before the email alert was sent). Every subsequent test has yielded the same results.
We cannot seem to find any reason why this alert is taking so long to be sent. I feel like we're missing something obvious but we just can't sort out what it is.
Does anything have any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks,
Robin
