Why ManageEngine forcing customers to purchase JESPA.jar?

Why ManageEngine forcing customers to purchase JESPA.jar?

Hi everyone.
According to this article ...

Installation with version's above 6210, need a third party commercial jar library from ioplex (jespa.jar) to enable/continue using SSO NTLM authentication.
Then I realized than many other ManageEngine product also need this library to continue using ntlm if its planned to do an update.
And this library is not free and can be used 60 day as trial, and then you have to buy it or it will have limited functionality.
I Always admired ManageEngine Products for self sufficiency, but now it's functionality depends on another commercial 3rd party software !

I'm wondering why ManageEngine decided to do this?
