Which is best Practice? Installing the OpManager on a Physical Machine or on a VM

Which is the best practice?
we have installed OpManager on a Windows 2008 machine which is physical server, if at all we want to move it to the virtual machine were in we have ESX 4.1 will there be any changes. Will this work fine as a physical server. Please advice.
