Dear SDP OnDemand Users,

Features in pipeline to be released in subsequent releases of ServiceDesk Plus OnDemand are Asset Enhancements, Field & Form Rules, Solution Enhancements, etc and below is the list of detailed features & behavior changes:

Features :  

·       Assets

•        Adding assets by scanning the barcodes
•        Generating barcode to efficiently track and manage assets
•        Scan : Support SNMP V3
•       Microsoft SCCM Integration - import of SCCM asset data
•       Asset Owner auto suggest - Based on last logged-in user, show owner suggestions and bulk assign owner
•       Also ability to exclude devices during scan

·       General

•        RTL support for SDP OnDemand and translation/localization for two new language Arabic & Hebrew

·       Requests

•       Feature to show incident / service request templates for technician, based on the groups associated to the templates and technicians. If no group is associated to templates, then it will be shown to all the technicians.

·       Admin

•       Field & Form Rules are introduced to manipulate Request forms elements (upon creation and update of Requests). With Field & Form Rules, you can customize Incident and Service templates to execute actions such as :
•     Disabling / Enabling fields
•    Mandating / Non-Mandating fields
•    Show / Hide fields

·       Solutions

•       Requester can add comments over solution article.
•        Requester can mark Like / Unlike over a solution article.
•        Option to link Solutions.
•        To include 'Expiry' date for solution.
•        Periodic review of Solution

Behavior changes : 

Application URL will change and it will be like app/<your portal name>/in all existing url's.  
This change will not break any existing url/bookmark and those will function as it is. URL change need to be done to access multiple portals from multiple tabs within one session/browser.

Example :  

Change for application url in web client :  

sdpondemand.manageengine.com/HomePage.do

will become

sdpondemand.manageengine.com/app/itdesk/HomePage.do

Similarly URL will change for API calls:

API require similar url calls or it can use x-sdpod-appid as Header Key and Portal Name as its value.

itdesk --> Default portal name.

Subsequent releases will contain one or more features detailed above.
